Born from an idea of the Hungarian violinist Renata Lacko and guitarist Roberto Nannetti, the “double r” project this year extended to the participation of bassist Franco Fabbrini proposes a repertoire that can be identified as a musical crossover between jazz, original music and compositions by authors with a heritage and training of Brazilian or classical music.
In fact, starting from different training paths, the project identifies a proposal made as well as a careful choice of songs from the jazz tradition, of arrangements of author music such as A. Piazzolla, of the Brazilian pianist E. Gismonti and of original compositions, as a sum of the most significant personal experiences, important for their musical and human training.
It is the pleasure and curiosity for the meeting of different cultures that bring worlds together that makes the jazz musical form a universally acceptable language.
